Our Story
Azoual was born from memory. days on the shores of Bejaia, Algeria, where the scent of olive oil was as familiar as the sea breeze. As an Amazigh from this beautiful coastal region, olive oil has been woven into the fabric of my life for as long as I can remember.
Growing up, it was more than just food; it was tradition, a remedy, and a ritual. I still remember my grandmother reaching for olive oil to treat everything from cuts to dry skin. When we were children and got sea urchin needles in our feet after swimming near the rocks, she would warm a needle, dab on some olive oil, and we would be good as new. We drank it every morning. We used it in our hair, on our skin, at every meal. It was, and still is, a symbol of care, wellness, and connection.
Years later, while flying back to London from Algeria, a simple thought struck me: Why do we always bring this back with us? Why not share it with the world? That moment planted the seed for Azoual.
Azoual is more than just extra virgin olive oil. It is a tribute to the purity of tradition, the richness of Mediterranean soil, and the unmatched taste that only time honoured methods and ancient olive groves can yield. It is a piece of heritage, pressed and poured with purpose.
Today, Azoual is my way of inviting you to experience what we have always known: this is not just olive oil. It is culture. It is legacy. It speaks for itself.
Welcome to Azoual.
